Maryland State Police have joined the search for a man who was reported missing earlier this month out of St. Mary’s County.
An alert was issued by the agency for James Volodimir Nalborcyk, 50, of Great Mills, who was reported missing the state police on Wednesday, Dec. 21, and has not been heard from or seen by friends or family since Sunday, Dec. 11.
The circumstances of his disappearance are unclear.
Police say that Nalborcyk is considered an endangered missing man for several reasons, including a medical condition, the recent spell of cold weather, and lack of contact with his family members.
He is considered “critically missing” by the Maryland State Police investigation team.
Nalborcyk was described by investigators as being approximately 5-foot-8, weighing 265 pounds with white or silver hair. The most recent description of him included a short mustache or goatee-style facial hair.
Investigators noted that state police have located the vehicle he was last seen in.
Anyone with information regarding Nalborcyk or his whereabouts has been asked to contact Maryland State Police investigators at the Leonardtown Barrack by calling (301) 475-8955 or emailing MSP.Leonartdown@maryland.gov.
